History of the Rain Retreat

The Rain Retreat had not existed yet during the initial years of Buddhism. Therefore, throughout any given year, when a monk needs to visit the people in order to teach Dhamma, the journey was made when time permitted.

เราต้องหัดดูคนให้เป็น ดูแต่เรื่องหมาจิ้งจอกกับราชสีห์ ชาติหมาจิ้งจอกมันกินขี้ เขาเอามาเลี้ยงจะให้เป็นราชสีห์ มันก็ทำทีจะเป็นได้ แต่เวลามันเจอขี้ มันก็ลืม มันไปกินขี้นั่นแหละ เขาเรียกว่า ไอ้ชาติหมาจิ้งจอก ยังไงๆ มันก็ยังเป็นหมาจิ้งจอกอยู่วันยังค่ำ
